Nine Mile Canyon

My brother, N, came into town over a three-day weekend recently. On that Monday holiday, H, N and I drove to Nine Mile Canyon, about two hours from our parents house.

H had been there multiple times and really liked it and wanted to show it to N and I. It was really cool! I think it's been described as the world's longest outdoor art gallery.

There were multiple panels of petroglyphs in the canyon. They were really cool to see and it was interesting thinking about the stories of the people who carved those scenes so long ago.

I don't remember all of the names of the different panels but enjoy the pictures!

Can you tell what the carvings are supposed to be?!

This is the only panel that I remember the name of, The Great Hunt.

If you ever get a chance to go to Nine Mile Canyon, you should. It's a bit of a drive depending on where you're staying in Utah but it's worth it!

Drive around Utah Lake

One day I was antsy and needed to get out of the house. So my sister, H, and I went on a drive around Utah Lake, through Goshen Canyon and through Eureka. It was a really pretty drive! (And I just realized I didn't actually get any pictures of the lake. Oh well. 🤷)

Enjoy the pictures!

A picturesque old gas station on the south side of Utah Lake.

This part of the drive was a little detour from driving around the lake.

We drove to Eureka. It's a cute little town somewhere west of Utah Lake. They got a lot more snow than we did in the valleys.

This is in Goshen Canyon. Isn't it pretty?!

H took this picture and the next two pictures as well!

It was a lovely drive around Utah Lake, Goshen Canyon, and Eureka! I'm glad we went. 😁

Funny Memes

So here I am on the last day of the year 2021 contemplating the past almost two years since Covid-19 started. Honestly I don't even know what to say. It's been a tough two years and no matter what situation we've been in during this pandemic, I think it's been hard on all of us.

One of the things that helped me through some of the really hard times (especially at the beginning of the pandemic) was the funny memes people were posting on social media about what was happening in the world. I took screenshots of some of my favorites and thought I would share them here. (None of them belong to me).

The first batch were from 2020 and the second batch from 2021. You can probably tell that by what was written.😂😂😂

I hope you all have a good new year friends!

Top 5 Songs On My Playlist

Music is something that has always been important to me and you can often find me listening to music of some sort throughout the day.

I still own CDs and listen to them in my car (my aux port didn't work in my car until earlier this year). Since I got my aux port fixed and I knew I was going to be driving across country this year, I decided to pay for a music streaming service so I could have more music options on my drive.

I decided to go with Spotify and so far am enjoying the options and flexibility I have while using it. At the beginning of this month, they gave me my 2021 Spotify Year in Review.

One of the things they sent me was the top 5 songs that I've listened to the most. Below is the list of my most listened to songs:

It told me that I listened to my #1 song 121 times, which does not surprise me since I listen to that song on repeat sometimes. I'm pretty sure the other top 4 songs are not far behind the #1 song. 😂

And apparently my Audio Aura is dramatic and nostalgia, which also doesn't really surprise me. 🤷😁

As a side note, I don't listen to all of my music on Spotify. I occasionally use other music programs as well as CDs to listen also.

What are your top 5 songs? Do you have any song recommendations? I'm always open to suggestions.
