Cotswolds- Day 9

Since this day was a Saturday, Matt and Karey and the boys were able to take me on a field trip and I now call this day my surreal day because it was so amazing and British...

They first drove me to a beautiful lookout not too far from their house to let me see the view. Isn't it gorgeous?! It was really cold that day, but it was sunny and lovely!

The little ones weren't too fond of getting their picture taken. ;)

We made our way to a cute town in the Cotswolds and can I just say how much I loved the town that we stopped in! Bourton-on-the-Water was just so cute and charming!

We found this adorable little sweet shop in Bourton-on-the-Water and it didn't take too much convincing for me to go inside. They had all sorts of different candies inside but I especially loved these amazing truffles with lemon filling. I may or may not have gone back to the store after trying the truffles to get more. :)

Look how adorable this town is!

After Bourton-on-the-Water, we headed toward Bibary (another town in the Cotswolds.) To make our way to Bibary, we had to drive on some narrow two lane roads, so narrow that two cars couldn't pass each other so one car had to pull over in order to let the other car pass.

While driving along one of these narrow roads, we saw a fox hunt in the distance, with men on horses in riding jackets and all. :)

At this point, I was seriously so giddy. I could not have imagined an awesomer thing to see as we're driving on narrow country roads in England on our way to a Cotswold town.

Karey mentioned something about how she thought that the rider in this picture looked like Lord Grantham from Downton Abbey. It was seriously so amazing!

We made it to Bibary and it was so beautiful and lovely!

Bibary was just so magical... and green!

I love this shot!

Apparently the road right here in this picture is one of the most photographed streets in England.

People live here.

I, of course, had to get my photo taken on one of the most photographed streets in England. :)

Hahaha!

J is so cute! :)

After exploring the lovely town of Bibary, we headed toward a town where two of our ancestors had been married. They were ancestors from Dad's side of the family and it was so cool to see the town and the church where they were married!

I love this shot!

Matt, L and I in front of the church where our ancestors were married.

Matt and Karey pretending to walk out of church as if they had just gotten married. :)

Hampnett was the name of the town where the church was.

To end my surreal day, we had fish and chips for dinner. Matt and Karey had heard of this place near their house that supposedly had the best fish and chips!

I wasn't a big fan of the fish texture, but the chips were good! I was told later on that I would have liked the fish better if I had eaten it with vinegar. Oh well.

Overall, I loved this day. The scenery, the company, the fox hunt, the towns, the streets, the fish and chips, it was just all so lovely!

What a neat and surpassingly lovely day. I can't believe you actually saw a fox hunt while you were there. That's fantastic. Such a beautiful area you got to explore. It's wonderful!
