What the Random!?

It reminded me of England, although I've never been there before ;) It also reminded me of that talk by Sister Thompson of the General Relief Society Presidency, so I had to take a picture!

I believe this is a rice field! I took the picture from a moving train, so it's not very good. It surprised me how much water they need to grow rice.

A big night market in Changhua (the city I live in)! It has so much stuff. Food, clothes, toiletries, accessories, shoes, pretty much anything you can think of, they have it there :)

Another picture of the night market!

This is me and one of my roommates on our bikes (she didn't know I was taking the picture :) waiting while a train passed up ahead!

The line-up waiting for the train to pass. There are so many scooters here!

I took a test ride on a scooter one night. I was a bit shaky, but it was quite fun!

Look at the statue of the huge goat in the background! I have no idea what it's for, but I had to take a picture of it :)

The chapel where the International Branch meets in Taichung (a neighboring city to Changhua). It's a nice little chapel. I think there's four wards that meet there. This is the back.

Another view of the chapel. This is the front.

These are some of the random pictures that I didn't know what to do with, but I thought you might be interested in seeing. I hope you enjoyed a few more pictures of the wonderful island of Taiwan!

I can't believe you rode a scooter! We were going to do that in China, but Mom and Dad chickened out because it was raining. Was it fun?

Thanks for sharing the cool pictures!

It's interesting to see a tall building behind the church. That's not something you normally see here in the states (except in NYC).

I love all the pics AL!

H, the scooter was fun! I didn't ride it very far, and it was not on a busy road, but I enjoyed it for the few minutes I was on it :)

K, the chapel is in the middle of a big city. It's kind of a little oasis in the middle of the city :)

So, are you thinking of buying a scooter?

We did chicken out of riding scooters in China, however, I was going to ride on the scooter with our guide, Ping. Love all the random pictures, especially the goat statue. I remember the talk about minding the gap, but can't remember who gave it. Have a great weekend!

Thanks for sharing all these AWESOME and lovely pics of your adventures.

Yes, yes, I really did pass on riding scooters in China since it was raining lightly and the cobblestone roads were uneven and slick. And honestly Chinese driving styles frighten me. Oh well, a good reason to go back-to prove my manhood.

Thanks for the pictures of the church-anywhere you go they are little oasis's amid the hustle and bustle.

We are so glad that you are making the most out of your experience.

Continue to have fun and be safe!!

Love, Dad-Mom
