It stinks being sick.
So I have a bad cold right now. It started on Christmas day with my throat hurting. And now my throat hurts pretty bad with none of the home remedies or pain killers working. I'm sneezing like crazy. My nose is runny and I have a dry cough. It's not very fun. I hope that this holiday season finds everyone healthy and happy and that no one gets what I have!

I wish my nieces and nephews were here!
This is me being sad that my nieces and nephews aren't here to help me build my snowman.

Driving in a snowstorm
Yesterday I was in Alpine at Mom and Dad's house. I had to come back down to Provo to work later in the day. I left at the beginning of a snowstorm because I thought that if I left later that it would get worse and I wouldn't be able to make it to work in Orem. So I left and not too far from the house, I was putting on my brakes but was not stopping because of the slippery roads. It was a little scary, but thankfully I did not hit the car in front of me, which I thought I was going to do. I thought about turning around and going home, but I decided to tread through it and drive in the storm.
I did not take this picture, but this is pretty much what it looked like. It's no fun driving in a snowstorm.
I thought it was crazy how many people were on the roads. Most everyone was driving 20-30 miles per hour the whole way on State Street. At times I could not see the stoplight which I knew was not very far ahead of me. (Don't worry Mom and Dad, I was driving really slow). And I usually could not see the lines on the road, so I just followed the car ahead of me. And half of the time it took me to get to Provo, I was in Provo, but I had to wait through a billion lights or so. The hill down State Street that goes into Provo was the slowest part. I guess because of the hill and the slow amount of time it took people to get going that only a few cars would be able to go with each light. It took about an hour and a half to get from Alpine to Provo. As you all know a drive from Alpine to Provo on a good day should only take about 30 minutes. So it was a fun trip and thankfully I was kept safe and arrived home safely at my apartment glad to be off the crazy roads.

AnnaLisa is Done With Finals- Almost Forever
I just got done with my last final for the semester and I am way excited! I feel a big weight off of my shoulders and I can relax (atleast for a little while until I start my independent study course again over Christmas break)! I feel like I did all right on the test. I definitely did not ace it but I don't think I flunked it either. I got my final paper back in the class that I just took the final in and I got a B on it, which is good! YAY for being done with classes for this semester!
AnnaLisa is exhausted and would like to be doing this right now.

Notes
So I have a friend (who will remain unnamed) who takes really good notes in class and all of her classmates know that she takes good notes and so even though they are in class, they don't take their own notes. This friend is kind of bitter. These people in her class ask her for her notes and she doesn't want to give them to them because they could take their own freakin' notes. Because this friend is such a good person she sends them to her classmates, although she does not want to. What should she do? Should she be nice and just send them her notes, although she doesn't want to and feels like she is being taken advantage of? Should she not send them and make people frustrated with her for the next 1 1/2 years because they will have classes together for that long? Or should she just send them to people who ask and who happened to not be in class for a good reason?

The contest!
So on campus for the past week and a half they had a contest going on in the Daily Universe. One day I decided to try it out and see if I would win. For the contest I wrote down the names of three of the photographers in the paper that day (which is what they wanted us to do on that particular day) and then they put my name in a drawing. I never thought I would actually win, because I never win things like that. No matter how many times my name may be in the drawing, my name is never chosen.
To my great surprise my roommate, Sarah, called me up the morning that they were printing the names of the winners and told me that I needed to check the newpaper out. She told me over the phone and I was sooooo excited! Then I saw my name in print and it was even more exciting! (They even spelled my name right:) Yay!) The end of my story is that I received a $50 Visa gift card from the Daily Universe! Thank you Daily Universe!

I'm so cool!
I started a blog because I want everyone to know how cute I am. All my nieces and nephews think so!

Christmas Lights
So I love the lights at Christmas time! I love driving around to different neighborhoods and looking at the colorful, fun lights and decorations that people put up! But I have an issue. I don't like the white Christmas lights. To me they're just the same color as regular home lights and so they are boring and not fun to look at; and they are becoming more and more common. I mean are white Christmas lights cheaper than colorful lights? Or what's the issue here? Well I'll step off my little soapbox now, but I just wanted to let you know what I think about that.
Boring!

My First Post! Yay!
After much thought and a little push from my roommate, I decided to start a blog. I turned in my two big papers yesterday and today and I just have one more final next Wednesday, so I have a little bit of time on my hands. YAY! I'm almost done with my second to last semester of university! Just as long as I pass my classes this semester and next semester, then I will be graduating in April. YAY! I don't know what I will do with my life after I graduate, but I've contemplated going to Virginia, Minnesota or out of the country. I have my options open and I still need to do a bit of research on each of these places before I decide where to go. We'll see what happens. I really don't like making decisions, so if anyone would like to help me make my big decisions for me, I would really appreciate it : )
